Udaan....

Dear Readers of mine( few , but still) this post for a change , does not deal with the outer world, it does not mock, ridicule or deride it , rather this post deals with something very neglected of late- it pertains to My World.
Just happened to see the movie – Udaan. Needless to say – like most Anurag Basu movies I loved it.
Can’t say it was my story. Cant say it was the best movie ever. Can’t even say it’s a must watch.
Then why is it that I am writing this?
Tha fact is because it made me think.
No – not sympathize with the protagonist or the 6 year old silent sufferer in the movie , but it made me think about myself.
Trapped in my own world – somewhere down the line – I realized – all wasn’t well.
No , I am in a perfectly sound state. But is it a thumb rule to feel satiated when things are going your way? The exterior materialistic pleasures can divert your mind – but they cannot completely supersede your conscience – your inner self. In my case ( as would be the case with million others) me and my inner self were like two strangers standing at the same Bus Stop with the same destination – waiting to ride on the same Bus – albeit on different seats – one in the front – other in the rear – never in the middle. Extremes. Two tracks of a Rail…
CAT. IMS. GMAT. PERCENTAGE 70.1( falling? )LADS CAPSLOCK NITOVATORS.
My head is spinning.
And Then from somewhere in a dark cold corner comes out a voice –“ What About Me?”
And that is my inner self….
I remember when I was a child – I used to run and run freely – no destination – no purpose – just run.
Nothing could match the sheer pleasure and joy of wind passing through my hair and the cool damp breeze on my nose. It was magical. In a different world…of a different world.
BLANK.
Now no longer a teenager and with my frame , by no means an athlete – I miss those purposeless running days –I miss my freedom – I miss my nonchalance – I miss my thoughtlessness –I miss my lightness – I miss my free air –
I miss my Udaan……

With your felicity of expression, you should be writing every day not winter and fall.
