And the world kept Shrinking..P@rt 1

When your desires are no longer mere desires but a perennial fountainhead of constant irk, irritation, frustration and consequently vexation, you know the World is shrinking. When everything you think of, everything you aspire to be , everything you crave for , anything you dream of , is all but incarcerated in your dreams, you know the World is shrinking. When your amorphous thoughts swirling and zipping past in your mind and your soul – when they fail to identify, acquire or realise any form, you know the World is shrinking. When everything you saw yourself to be , when everything you know you could be, when everything you believed you would be – when that everything is brandished as that distant dream -that farfetched idea - that utopian vision- that megalomaniac symptom- that everything that cannot be conceived, defined – that everything called nothing – you know ,my friend, the World is shrinking. When the mind is pregnant with ideas promising a better tomorrow a glorious future; a glimmer of hope – when that pregnant mind holding the foetus of that glorious idea succumbs to the inevitable foeticide – the foeticide of the idea – of the reproduction of your thoughts , then you know the World is shrinking. When a mysterious force opens up the garden sprays of the sky, a cool zephyr blows with a nostalgic fragrance, tiny golden beams try and deceive the black hazy dustbags and fall on your iris – and all you think of then – why is YOUR world shrinking? – Then my friend you know THE world is shrinking. When every retaliation , every effort to change, every crusade to open up those gates – when every ambition and resolution drawing strength from the remnants of your vestigial determination, your once glorious self-esteem, your once feted inner strength , your pride still living in those halcyon days – when those pillars falter – when your resolution is consumed by the ravenous world disguised to hide your own lethargy and that feeling of submission – when your ambition all but runs out of fuel and makes a futile attempt to run on empty gas- then you know the world is shrinking…. What is this World? to be continued....

What a brilliant piece! The least I can say Parul is that I am impressed with your wonderful command over the language and the precision with which you choose your words. I really wanted it to continue. I am waiting for the next part. I loved the first.

World may or may not shrink but broken and expurgated desire do hurt a lot ... well written , one and all relates to it.
